from goodreads:
He'd never wanted anyone enough to chase them...until he met her.
Charming, easygoing, and rich beyond belief, Xavier Castillo has the world at his fingertips.
He also has no interest in taking over his family’s empire (much to his father’s chagrin), but that hasn’t stopped women from throwing themselves at him…unless the woman in question is his publicist.
Nothing brings him more joy than riling her up, but when a tragedy forces them closer than ever, he must grapple with the uncertainty of his future—and the realization that the only person immune to his charms is the only one he truly wants.

Cool, intelligent, and ambitious, Sloane Kensington is a high-powered publicist who’s used to dealing with difficult clients.
However, none infuriate—or tempt—her more than a certain billionaire heir, with his stupid dimples and laid-back attitude.
She may be forced to work with him, but she’ll never fall for him…no matter how fast he makes her heart beat or how thoughtful he is beneath his party persona.
He’s her client, and that’s all he’ll ever be. Right?
my review:
ana does it for me every single time, i knew i was going to love this book just based off the dedication!! the only reason it took me so long to read it is because life happens and i’ve been so busy but i literally always wanted to stop doing what i had to do and just read.
xavier castillo, the nepo baby, or so you think. xavier’s character development throughout this book was literally chefs kiss. he grew so much as a person and i don’t know if she was the reason or if he finally just opened his eyes. getting to know him on a personal level and all the things he went through as a child, made sense as to why he was so closed off to everyone and literally everything. the stoic xavier castillo has a heart after all.
slone freakin kensington, the queen with a strong personality. no one could tell her anything or get passed the huge wall she put up or so we thought! slone’s character development wasn’t as shocking as xavier’s because she’s always been the badass, about her business, strong willed woman throughout the whole kings of sin series but i loved seeing the other side of her. her family is literal trash and i see why she became the strong willed person that she is and i totally love that for her. pen and rhea literally make my heart melt for her.
overall, this was a great book. i always devour ana’s books but they get better and better each time, i don’t know if it’s cause we know all the characters from little snippets of previous books and actually get to know them in their own book or if ana is just great (i think both tbh). for once, i am not mad at the ending of this book. it felt like it was the proper closure for everything that happened throughout. i only have one issue, which is dante. i hope we can figure out why he was involved!!
nonetheless, king of sloth was great! i’m sooo excited to read about vuk, especially because he seems so uptight. literally makes alex volkov seem like an angel. release day come faster!!
