from goodreads:
Dante was born a Devil, and always assumed he'd die a Devil. His brothers are his life, and his loyalty has no bounds. So when he's betrayed and sold out by another member, his disappearance sends shock waves through the ranks. Rachel is determined to find him, but when old faces come back to haunt her, she realises she's in deeper than ever, and the past is never truly forgotten.
With a war looming, and her loved ones in more danger than ever, Rachel faces some of the most difficult decisions of her life.
Meanwhile Dante grapples with conflicting loyalties—his brothers, and the woman who holds his soul. Can he emerge from the darkness, torn between duty or desire?
As the stakes are raised and disaster strikes, each must learn about love and loyalty, of bonds that bend but do not break, and of the sacrifices we make to protect the ones we hold dear.
Strap in for a ride where danger collides with desire, and salvation lies in the most unexpected places. Because in the crucible of danger, they’ll discover whether love is their salvation or their downfall.

my review:
okaaaaay j.m.!! i’ve been waiting to find out what happens with this story since that last book and i was NOT expecting anything that just happened. i was not able to put this book down i finished in about 2 days and all i can say is wow!!
rachel is still the same foul mouthed tough little shit that she has been from the beginning and dante is still the foul mouthed bad biker boy and i love them even more than before. rachel really stepped up and just elevated herself into such a badass woman, some of the things she does i definitely disagree with but she has her reasons, and the main one is to piss off dante and bring us that spice, i mean spark! dante “hates” her but definitely, and still, cannot get enough of her. i really liked the inner monologue that came from both of them throughout the story, it really gave an insight into what was going through their crazy minds.
i love that the whole club really came to life in this book, in the previous book they were sort of just background characters with the subtle appearances but they really brought the story to life in this one. dante kind of made me hate him for a minute for what he did to rachel on the boat but the ending had me squealing to know more.
this book definitely sent my emotions for a whirlwind, everything with bee makes my heart throb and i love the way that everyone loves her. kitty definitely needs her ass beat and i love what she had coming to her. definitely a lot of heartbreak came from this book but it was such a great rollercoaster of emotions.
i really can’t wait for the next, and final, book of this series. the way this book ended really has me wanting more. we all know how crazy dante is and i’m curious to see what he does and to what hell he will go through and put people through to see his promise till the end. i hate that i have to wait but i’m sure it’ll be worth it.

favorite quotes:
“there is so much evil in the world. i just wanted to pause and take a moment to smell the roses. i know there’s some tough times ahead, and i just wanted to pause things for a second, and work on my inner peace.”
