okay this is probably my favorite book out of the two. the first one shows you who adeline and z are and this one shows you the crazy nitty gritty. it literally had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

okay this is probably my favorite book out of the two. the first one shows you who adeline and z are and this one shows you the crazy nitty gritty. it literally had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
z, of course, is still your murderous stalker guy but now he has a super soft spot who will stop at nothing until the diamond is back in his possession where he thinks she belongs. z drives himself to madness in this book and really is not stopping until he gets what he wants. once his precious adeline is rescued he really respects her and everything that she went through. he realizes she isn’t the same girl that he previously stalked but learns to work with it. still hasty and still as dominant as ever.
adeline, the precious diamond. she endured A LOT throughout this book and i really hated it for her. i hated everything that went on but loved adeline and the way she fought for herself. i wanted to beat the shit out of francesca and everyone else for doing what they do. adeline stuck it out and become and even badder bitch. the culling really showed how much determination addie had.
sydney, rocco, francesca, and xavier are literal scum. they made me SICK the whole book. i wish i could have a culling with them because they don’t deserve shit. i love addie for the way she got back at them after everything was said and done. and rio, mr. rio, i hated you in the beginning but you definitely grew on me. the only shoulder for addie to lean on. sibby, you are an obnoxious little being but you really added to the story. your trainings with addie made her into even more of a badass.
this was definitely hard to read but was also such a good book. this book was my favorite of the duet because it showed the growth of everyone throughout the series and i love the way that addie became a badass in the end. everyone just got crazier as things advanced and i was here for it. this book definitely has a lot of triggers but it was worth the read.
