from goodreads:
She only has four weeks to find someone willing to cross the Atlantic and aid in her deception. New York to Spain is no short flight and her raucous family won’t be easy to fool.
Enter Aaron Blackford—her tall, handsome, condescending colleague—who surprisingly offers to step in. She’d rather refuse; never has there been a more aggravating, blood-boiling, and insufferable man.
But Catalina is desperate, and as the wedding draws nearer, Aaron looks like her best option. And she begins to realize he might not be as terrible in the real world as he is at the office.
my review:
i loved the relationship between rosie and lina, sometimes the best friendships come from that one good coworker. rosie was down to ride for lina and be there through whatever. the good and the bad.
lina was an okay character, i liked her personality but sometimes she was iffy. sometimes i felt like she just repeated her “hate” for aaron throughout the whole book but she knew she liked him deep down inside the whole time. i kinda also feel like she didn’t like him for him until the very end of the book because she was just so infatuated with his body, looks, and especially his ocean blue eyes. (i never wanna hear about blue eyes again tho)
i loved aaron tho. i really wish we would have gotten a couple chapters from
his point of view because he seemed like he was TRULY in love with lina. he loved her for anything and everything and wanted to stick by her side through the good and the bad. he was willing to go to another country to make sure she was comfortable and taken care of. he was an ideal man, would go to the ends of the earth to make sure his woman was confident and secure in whatever thing they were taking part in. i loved the way he fit in and did his part without having to try it just rolled right out of him, and that’s how you know he truly loved her and ALWAYS has.overall this book and relationship was super cute. it took me a while to read cause some parts of it was super boring but the spicy scenes and aaron made my heart throb and made me want to read until the end. i wanted to see if he won and got what he wanted in the end. i don’t feel like the last couple chapters were necessary because i feel like it was super rushed and a “breakup” scene needed to be thrown in the just to fit the whole “personality” of romance books. this book would have been so much better without the last couple chapters. although it played into lina and who she was and what she feared but it could’ve ended sooner and on a better note.
