from goodreads:
She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.
Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos—and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules…and claim her as his own.

Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young.
It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type—the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off limits.
But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.
King of Pride is a steamy opposite attract, forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.
my review:
i always think one of ana’s books is my favorite until i read the next book. king of pride was nothing short of amazing and i’m already so excited to read the next book. also don’t want to read it because i hate when the series ends. i love how this was such an ana huang book but also not a typical ana huang book, which in my opinion made it all that much better.
i usually like reading the man’s point of view more but i think isabella’s parts take the cake in this one. they both were very entertaining to read but i feel like isa brought the life into this one, although i loved both isabella & kai from the beginning. we knew a little bit about them from the previous books but you never would’ve guessed who they truly were. Isabella is the crazy outgoing friend with no filter and kai is the super reserved business man who takes no shit from anyone and gets exactly what he wants. their relationship was kind of a breath of fresh air compared to all of the other men in the twisted and king series, although not comparable at all. isa & kai being almost complete opposites made their relationship work. although i didn’t sob at the “break up” scene like i did in all the other books, this one made sense and made everything just seem so much more real and down to earth. and that’s exactly what their relationship was. i love the push they each gave each other and they both believed in the other like they truly should. i loved that some of the characters from the other books made appearances, i love that it’s all basically an interconnected chain of successful men and beautiful women. makes them all much more worth reading.
the chain of events that happened in this book you never would have expected. there was so much anxiety and anticipation when waiting to find out what was going to happen and who did what and ahhh, i was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time. it was so good that i wanted to just keep reading, i wanted to find out what was happening and why and what was going to happen next. ana does a great job at keep you intrigued until the end and makes you super sad that it’s over because there’s still so much you want to know.
the family dynamic would be very interesting to see especially after everything that happens in the epilogue. i almost always hate reading the epilogue’s because it gives me so much hope for something we may not get in the future *sobs*
