rating:★★★★✩

from goodreads:
He hates her...almost as much as he wants her.
Gorgeous, cocky, and fast on his way to becoming a hotshot doctor, Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn’t charm—except for Jules f**king Ambrose.
The beautiful redhead has been a thorn in his side since they met, but she also consumes his thoughts in a way no woman ever has.
When their animosity explodes into one unforgettable night, he proposes a solution that’ll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies with benefits arrangement with simple rules.
No jealousy.
No strings attached.
And absolutely no falling in love.
**
Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who’s focused on one thing: passing the attorney’s bar exam.
The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable…no matter how good-looking he is.
But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there’s more than meets the eye to the man she’s hated for so long.
Her best friend’s brother.
Her nemesis.
And her only salvation.
Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them …or destroy everything they’ve worked for.
Twisted Hate is a steamy enemies with benefits/enemies to lovers romance. It's book three in the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone.

my review:
twisted hate, hate is exactly what i felt for this book in the beginning. i really really really did not like jules from all the other books so i really wasn’t looking forward to this one. i loved josh in all of them though so i had to see it through. half way through this book i started to love her. i see why she was the way she was and why she did the things she did, it all came together and made sense. i loved josh no matter what but their relationship was just amazing, until it wasn’t, but it was fixed?? in their own twisted way.

in the other two books i got a kick out of the man’s POV but in this one i really loved jules POV. i feel like it brought the whole story together. maybe because we already knew about josh and his whole childhood mishaps?? but everything about jules was new and exciting and made you want to keep going. you never would’ve expected jules’ life to be the way it was but i guess that’s why she has her super tough exterior. i loved her strength and courage and willingness to fight and not let any man stand in her way. she is the way she is because of herself. and her mother???? wow what kind of woman is that!!!

in the other two books i feel like you got a glimpse of everyone else and their story but in this one it was all jules and josh and i loved that. it didn’t take away from them and what was going on with them. i loved how it was all a big secret, it made everything spicer and sneaky, until it wasn’t. the one thing i didn’t like is that josh treated her more of a “whore” than the other two twisted men we’ve met already. i don’t know if that has to do with her whole lifestyle?? and everything she’s been through but it bothered me, not enough to hate the story though.

twisted hate wasn’t my favorite of the twisted books but nonetheless i still loved it. i was still giddy and jumping around and getting hurt when things went wrong. my “hate” for this book was twisted into love. still the heart-wrenching love story but not as predictable as love. twisted games is still very much my favorite but maybe twisted lies will change that? we shall see when we dive into the monstrosity that is christian harper.

favorite quotes:
“Tired of working twice as hard as everyone else to be taken seriously and fighting even harder to prove my worth.”

“I thought I’d escaped my past, but at the end of the day, our demons always caught up with us.”

“When I’m not with her, I wish she were there. When I am with her, I want that moment to last forever.”

“The monsters in our imagination are often worse than those in reality.”
