from goodreads:
She can never be his...but he's taking her anyway.
Stoic, broody, and arrogant, elite bodyguard Rhys Larsen has two rules: 1) Protect his clients at all costs 2) Do not become emotionally involved. Ever.
He has never once been tempted to break those rules…until her.
Bridget von Ascheberg. A princess with a stubborn streak that matches his own and a hidden fire that reduces his rules to ash. She’s nothing he expected and everything he never knew he needed.
Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he’s faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her. Take her.
Because she’s his.
His princess.
His forbidden fruit.
His every depraved fantasy.

Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses.
But when her brother abdicates, she’s suddenly faced with the prospect of a loveless, politically expedient marriage and a throne she never wanted.
And as she navigates the intricacies—and treacheries—of her new role, she must also hide her desire for a man she can’t have.
Her bodyguard.
Her protector.
Her ultimate ruin.
Unexpected and forbidden, theirs is a love that could destroy a kingdom…and doom them both.
Twisted Games is a slow to medium burn contemporary royal bodyguard romance. It’s book two of the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone.

my review:
twisted games. i don’t really get why it’s called games but i guess there’s a little bit of game playing in here?? idk but i loved this one way more than twisted love, 4.5/5 stars!! you definitely could read this as a stand-alone book but i felt like it made more sense if you read twisted love first, only because it introduced the characters and you got a glimpse of everyone’s personality and it just built on that.

just like in twisted love i found myself wanting to read the guys point of view more than the girls but nonetheless each point of view was intriguing. the writing definitely got better in this book, the time hops and timelines fit together seamlessly and it was definitely easier to follow between the two points of view. i loved bridget she kicked ass the whole time. from princess to a whole leading bad ass!!! and rhys was just rhys the whole time but boy did i love him!! he made alex volkov look like a punk. the steaminess of this book was definitely like 100 times more than the first one but it made it more interesting. some things were quite predictable but i don’t think anything would have prepared me for the whole prince consort thing and the repeal and geeez!!!!

from beginning to end this was bone chilling! i squealed a couple times and laughed out loud, literally. i said i was disappointed that this book wasn’t going to be a continuation of ava and alex’s story but i’m glad it wasn’t. i really loved bridget and rhys more than i did ava and alex. ava and alex were quite predictable and they kind of came from the same life and story but bridget and rhys were completely different and it was just crazy how it all came together. so far this series has been great!! on to twisted hate!!
