my review:
woaaah!!! this book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. i could not put it down, i was reading literally any chance i got!! the ending? absolutely wild. my jaw dropped, i didn’t see it coming at all.
adam absolutely grossed me out. like… how are you gonna be with someone else and then go home to your wife without even cleaning yourself off??? disgusting. he just kept getting worse as the story went on. completely unhinged and ruining everything in sight.
sarah, though? total badass. top-tier lawyer handling top-tier cases, and wow did that come back around for her. i can’t say much without spoiling, but she carried this.
eleanor was just as obnoxious as her son. honestly, i wish sarah would’ve slapped her instead she needed to be put in her place. the sheriff gave me creepy vibes from the start, and now i completely get why. wild behavior… but i guess it’s a small town, so should we even be surprised? anne felt more like a pawn in the game. she was there, but not really a standout part for me. now bob?? that plot twist threw me for a loop. i never would’ve guessed any of that.
wow. just… wow. this book was absolutely insane. i had so many theories, and i was wrong about all of them. the ending left me a little sad because it shouldn’t have gone down that way, but i guess that was the plan all along.
