namaste and code all day by ally williams

rating:★★★★✩

from goodreads:

I've always believed love is nothing more than good timing. That it's just two people who happen to get along deciding this is probably as good as it gets. Until Zeke Morgan. He walks me home from the yoga classes I take like candy. He encourages me to chase my dreams of opening my own studio. He's gentle with me when I tell him past experiences make me hesitant about getting physical. But as he helps me achieve my dream, I become the downfall of his. He's spent almost a decade building his web design business, but when everything l've worked for is threatened, he doesn't hesitate to put me first. And I can't help but feel like the girl from his past who wanted him to live a different life for the sake of her checklist. The one who forced him to choose between her and his dreams. He used to think love wasn't all it's cracked up to be, but he's fallen hard. For me. So when my world comes crashing down around me the same week he has to leave for a big project, I do the only thing I can to protect myself. I pretend I'm okay. I push him away. Insist that I'm fine. Because the only thing worse than accepting defeat is becoming his, too. Namaste and Code All Day is a steamy, friends-to-lovers romance featuring a German Shepherd MMC who falls first and falls hard, and a fiercely independent but scarred FMC.

my review:
i received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.  this is my second ally williams book and i definitely liked this book better than the first one!!! although they were both really good books this one kept me more interested and i giggled a lot more.
both of the characters gave main character energy, i loved both of their personalities. i didn’t get sick of either one of them, usually the men are my favorite in books, but i liked both of them!!! zeke is a very strong and protective man but is also sweet and doesn’t push the limits. i really liked him overall and liked him for her! gabi is a strong willed woman who knows what she wants (sometimes, navigating past traumas) and will do everything to get it on her own. i admire her for getting everything done for herself without tearing others down. i love that she watches over everyone and makes sure they’re all okay. definitely a very relatable character. i really loved the cameos of characters from things we’ve lost and found, especially charlie and annabel.
this book was definitely 4.5 stars for me, it held my attention and if i wasn’t busy i would’ve kept reading until i finished it. gabi & zeke are the perfect escape from real life, shows what a real relationship should be like without all the BS that goes on in these “relationships” nowadays. i loved them together before it was even a thing.
namaste and code all day is my favorite from the series so far. i am super excited to read the next book because i think it will turn into my new favorite. keep doing great things ally!
favorite quotes:
“you’re subtle and calm and protective. thoughtful and resilient. sure, stephanie shines bright. no one’s going to argue that. but gabi, you glow.”

“it doesn’t feel like a bad idea. but it does feel like i’m admitting to being fucked in the head.”
