from goodreads:
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.
my review:
the fault in our stars, your typical love story a little on the cancerous side. the characters felt real and i felt connected to them in every way possible. the relationship between hazel and augustus was your average cheesy teen relationship. i loved the way augustus cared so much for hazel and how he'd do anything for her. even though it was quite predictable the book was very interesting, so interesting i finished it in a measly four hours. this was the first book to make me emotional in a long while. john green made me laugh and cry the whole way through. this book shocked me when one of their cancer experiences took a turn downhill, i mean i knew it was gonna happen but i was shocked as to who it had happened to. this was the part of the book that broke me down completely, i felt like i lost a friend of my own. an imperial affliction, yes i know john green made it up, but hazel was obsessed with this book and it made me really want to read it until she met the horrible peter van houten. all in all the fault in our stars was a good book, i'd recommend it to anyone who loves the cheesy love stories with a tragic ending.
